I call to you the women who sew in to the seams of garments the wisdoms of the ancient ones and the symbols and story of life. Simple stitches woven web like and intricate landscapes.
Story tellers rich with simple expression, deeply layered with life’s experience.

ART - LANDSCAPE - PLACE = SPACE
I have been invited to offer a community art project in : Slade Bank Woods, Stoud, Gloucestershire.
I’ll be working with the natural organic resources around me, creating sculpture and an ephemeral Labyrinth.
This is a week long event In the Easter holidays 2022 co-creating art in nature. In woodland that is community focused Land.
This is a chairty event
I’ll run a couple of projects and invite drop ins or come for the journey. There will some thing to bring for all ages. Time slots to join will be ready nearer the time.

COMMISSIONED ART
Woodland Stag

Commissioned by Sladebank Woods Stroud.
This was a large work – Eventually measuring three and a half metres by two metres tall, built on a slope. All the wood for the frame was given a foundation in the earth and birthed into being with drumming and song. Created only from wood sourced on-site including all-natural fastenings and finishings made to suit. To give it a dream-like quality I especially made some feather wands to hang in the antlers, weaving naturally dyed red hand-spun wool into places on the body to represent life’s vitality.
