Folk art THERAPY
PAINTING & CREATING WITH NATURE
I hold a few creative art sessions during the year linked to the time of year.
The budding of the rose,
Soft white curve, tip tantalised with a blush of red,
Sublime, sweet with promise,
pregnant with breathe of fire in the heart.
Unfolding love grace

Commissioned by Sladebank Woods Stroud.
This was a large work – Eventually measuring three and a half metres by two metres tall, built on a slope. All the wood for the frame was given a foundation in the earth and birthed into being with drumming and song. Created only from wood sourced on-site including all-natural fastenings and finishings made to suit. To give it a dream-like quality I especially made some feather wands to hang in the antlers, weaving naturally dyed red hand-spun wool into places on the body to represent life’s vitality.
For similar to be created privately or publicly, please contact me via the website. I can also offer this as a group event.
Prices will be on request.
“In times past people thought Deer lived deep in the forest so that they could learn secret knowledge. As one of the oldest animals in existence, it was a symbol of life, fertility, and vitality. Their antlers were a symbol of the tree of life”.
