Indian Head Massage

Gentle massage to the upper body

An ancient practice which takes into account mind, body and spirit.

Indian head massage has been used in Asia for over 5,000 years and works specifically on the area surrounding the head, scalp, face, neck, arms, hands, shoulders, mid and upper back. Indian head massage comes from Ayurveda, and when translated from Sanskrit represents; Ayur = Life, Veda = Knowledge.

Indian head massage can assist the release of tension in the muscles and joints of the head, face, neck, and shoulders using gentle massage movements and pressure points. The experience can increase oxygen flow, having a relaxing and calming effect on the nervous system. Promoting concentration and revitalisation.

“The physical body is our vessel for life’s journey”.

Indian Head Massage

When you arrive there is a consultation form to complete. During this therapy, you will either be invited to lie down or be seated on a low backed chair. I would usually massage the skin with a special blend of oil with added herbs.

Alternatively, you can remain fully clothed.
Other options that can be added as an extra contribution and by prior agreement are Reiki or shamanic drumming.
